First family vacation!

Mission accomplished! We had our first ever family vacation and the first we've done together in four years. We went to the Ouachita forest part of Arkansas, close to Norman. We rented a two bedroom cabin in the woods. It was awesome. There was no phone or internet service and absolute peace and quiet. The back porch came with two rocking chairs, a large swing and a propane grill :) We saw the Garvan Gardens (wonderful) at Hot Springs, Hiked at Petit Jean park in the southern Ozarks, went to the Crater of Diamonds Park, went to Little Rock to see the Clinton library and took a brewery tour and spent some time and very nice kids park. We did spend one day just at the cabin reading, napping and enjoying the peace. Lucas enjoyed playing in the creek. He was such a trouper through all our hikes and road trips to see different places. This may be the last time we can do this for awhile. He is getting too active to tolerate long road trips for now, so maybe we'll just do a Texas road trip next year to the Austin area :)
